Swanage Museum and Heritage Centre

About

The Museum is located at the seafront in The Square off the towns lower High Street and is operated entirely by volunteers.

Three "Heritage Trails" have been specially devised to help visitors find the fascinating features of "Old Swanage". These are unique to the centre and found there for just 30p per trail.

Learn about the history of 'Old London by the Sea'. Interactive displays and exhibitions. Fun for the entire family.

Do look at our website swanagemuseum.org.uk for latest information.

Learning

School visits are always welcome, though we would appreciate early notice. Groups of up to 20 can be seated to view a 10 minute educational video of the history of Swanage. Our website offers 3 downloadable worksheets covering The Stone Trade, Victorian & Edwardian Times and World War 2 in Swanage.

The Museum specializes in local & family histories and is always glad to receive enquiries.
